I traveled with my elderly Mum and could not fault this absolutely beautiful B&B , Nina our host was exceptional, friendly, hospitable and could not do enough for us. The rooms and whole house are so beautiful, comfortable and clean. Nina bakes her own breads , pastries and Bircher muesli aswell as fresh fruit juices and hot homemade breakfasts are also available. Getting to Hobart CBD is so easy to get into the City. I totally recommend Orana House to anyone travelling to Tasmania, it’s elegant, peaceful, clean and genuinely beautiful, Thankyou Nina , we will definitely be back! 😘😘😘

Continental Breakfast included and very tasty with a sample of Nina's home baking available every morning. Lovely setting with garden views of Tasman Bridge and Mount Wellington. House is of historical significance and decorated and furnished accordingly - dark coloured wood sets the ambience - but house and rooms have enough modern features to make stay comfortable. Our bathroom was bright and well appointed - all working fine. One day we took the 695 bus from the main road around the corner into central Hobart - took only 15 minutes crossing the Tasman Bridge - same coming back. Saved having to find / pay for parking in Hobart. Bar / restaurant on main road is 5 minutes walk - serves good meals, reasonably priced and has a big front window overlooking the bay.

This is a heritage home with plenty of the gracious old world charm only seven to ten minutes drive from Hobart CBD. I believe there is two classes of rooms all with ensuites, but no refrigerator in the room I had. However, there is one available in the dining room. Nina provides an excellent continental style breakfast, as well as a cooked one at extra expense. In addition it is worth noting that she cooks her own bread and other delicacies as part of the breakfast. She went out of her way to provide gluten free bread. Onsite parking

The Continental breakfast was very good, the cooked breakfasts were excellent. Nina was a wonderful cook and so gracious. I have gluten intolerance and she baked breakfast muffins that were suitable for me. Every morning with a Continental or cooked breakfast Nina cooked something different for all guests. Orana House and Gardens is a lovely period house built on a hill that looks over the Derwent River and the rooms are sympathetically furnished. Thank you Nina and Chad for making our 6 night stay enjoyable.

Hospitality was fantastic as always, breakfast has so many great options included as well as a nice range of extended cooked breakfast available as well. The fresh baked bread and pastry’s are delicious. Not to mention the delicious home baked cookies available at check in. Nina is always so welcoming (this is our 3rd stay!) such a beautiful historic building tastefully decorated with warm and cozy period furniture with spectacular gardens.

Nina was an exceptional host and the location was convenient to Hobart and beyond. The property itself was a gorgeous building that was oozing with history, which you could learn more about just by reading the welcome pack or exploring photos on the wall.

It took me back in time with awesome history & photos of the house & previous owners! Nina was exceptional and was always very friendly & made sure I was comfortable. The breakfast always had homemade bread & homemade treats like carrot cake etc a good variety of food!! The smell of the bread cooking just made the feel even more homely! I loved the homemade Anzac biscuits in the reception area, they were the best I’ve had! Thank you Nina xxxx

Absolutely loved this beautiful historic house which was a perfect base for our stay in Hobart. It's just a short walk to the waterfront at Lindisfarne, a beautiful area with some great walks. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable, as was the rest of the B&B. There's a lovely large open fire, which is great to sit and relax by at night. Breakfast was a tasty continental one in the lovely dining room, which included some of Nina's delicious home baking. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay in Hobart, can't recommend it highly enough!

A colonial-style period bungalow in a well-tended garden with a lovely view to the Tasman Bridge and mountains beyond. A short walk from the shore at Lindisfarne, with places to eat within walking distance. The continental breakfast offered a generous choice of food including home-made granola and yoghurt. There is a bus stop nearby for free travel into Hobart centre.
